Good Things – May 2024

Posted on June 1, 2024July 2, 2024 by andrew
  • Rob Halligan‘s ‘Standing on the Edge’ gig at church was excellent, he always puts on a good evening. His songs are personal and meaningful.
  • Attended the best Big Church Festival in a few years, there are too many highlights to mention here, look out for another post soon!
  • Really enjoyed this series of Race Across the World. It is a gentle and uplifting watch.
  • Sadiq Khan was returned as mayor of London, and the Tories got a kicking in the local elections, which was a relief!
  • A general election has been called which is even more of a relief, hopefully we will be able to start putting the last 14 years, and 5 in particular behind us and things might just start improving.
  • A nice few days in Petworth, visiting Petworth House, Fishbourne Roman Palace and the Weald and Downland Museum.
