One of my most used apps…

Posted on November 28, 2023November 29, 2023 by andrew

I was having a look at what apps I use the most this morning at work, and one of the apps I use the most (besides basic apps such as the browser and email client) is a little app called PDF Squeezer.

I deal with a lot of PDFs which need uploading and emailing around and this app has saved me so much time and energy. All you do is drag the PDF into it, change the compression amount (it remembers the last one you used so I hardly change this) and it outputs a nicely shrunk version. It seems to knock 30% off standard text documents and up to 75% off the school newsletters (they include lots of images).

It’s not the most exciting app but it is definitely a time saver and there is value in that! In case you are interested it can be found here.

About Me

Hello! My name is Andrew, and this is my little corner of the internet. Most of the week, I am an IT Technician in a primary school, which is an extremely varied and unpredictable job! Outside of that, I am a scout leader, youth leader, digital designer and do lighting and sound for theatre.

Social & Web

@Mastodon
My favourite social media. It is a friendly, advert free space, plus it is full of interesting people and not under the control of one big company.

@Instagram
I quite like Instagram, if you avoid most of the reels, plus its where many of my friends are. I will only accept a follow request from you if I know you though! If I don't know you, follow me on Mastodon!

@flickr
I am back to using flicker now I am taking more photos. You can find some of my favourite shots here.
